Carlos Riveros

Carlos Riveros is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle's School of Medicine and Public Health since July 2018, with extensive experience in bioinformatics and health informatics as a Bioinformatician at the Hunter Medical Research Institute from January 2016 to December 2024. Previously, Carlos worked as a Computing Scientist at the University of Newcastle, focusing on bioinformatics research and algorithm design from February 2008 to January 2016 and served in various engineering roles, including Chief of Engineering Review at Termoelectrica San Martin and Contract Performance Manager at GE Energy. Earlier career highlights include positions such as Associate Director at VFlops and Chief Geophysical Researcher at Sismos S.A. Carlos holds a PhD in Physics from Universidad Nacional de La Plata and completed postdoctoral research in Geophysics at the University of Houston, along with a Master of Medical Statistics from the University of Newcastle.
