Ruth Lowery is the current Associate Dean for Graduate Studies & Faculty Affairs at the College of Education at University of North Texas. Ruth has been in this role since August 2020.

Ruth Lowery has a Ph.D. in Language and Literacy from Penn State University. Ruth also has a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Elementary Education and Teaching from Florida Atlantic University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English (British and Commonwealth Literature) from the same school.

Ruth Lowery reports to Randy Bomer, Dean, College of Education. They work with Brian McFarlin - Associate Dean for Research & Undergraduate Studies, College of Education, Caron Park - Assistant Dean for Finance & Administration, College of Education, and Alexandra Leavell-Carter - Associate Dean for Educator Preparation, College of Education.
