Pat McDonald has extensive experience in landscape and transportation services within higher education institutions. Currently serving as the Manager of Landscape & Transportation Services at the University of Northern Colorado since 2002, McDonald oversees the operational and personnel activities of Facilities Management, focusing on athletic sports fields and campus landscaping, including the Xeric Demonstration Garden. Previously, McDonald held the position of Director of Grounds Maintenance & Golf at the University of Southern Mississippi from 2000 to 2002, managing the Grounds Maintenance & Golf Department and the USM Van Hook Golf Course. McDonald's career began at Purdue University, where from 1977 to 1999, the role of Landscape Supervisor involved managing various landscape operations, irrigation systems, greenhouse activities, and developing departmental policies. McDonald holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry/Horticulture from Purdue University and an Associate of Science in Forestry from Danville Junior College.
