Stephen Jordan is President Emeritus of the Metropolitan State University of Denver where he served for 12 years. He previously served seven years as President of Eastern Washington University. Jordan's career spans 38 years in public post-secondary education and includes senior positions in Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, and Washington.
Jordan is the recipient of the Sol Trujillo National Lifetime Leadership Award from the Latin American Education Foundation, The Clair Van Ummersen Presidential Leadership Award from the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators, the Civil Rights Award from the Anti-Defamation League, and the Outstanding Support of Hispanic Issues in Higher Education from the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education.
Jordan has served on numerous not-for-profit boards including Chairing the NCAA Division II Council of Presidents and Chairing the American Association of State Colleges and Universities.
