Jon Grainger

Jon Grainger currently serves as the Director of Health and Safety at the University of Nottingham, a position held since November 2022. Prior to this, Grainger was the Head of Statutory Safety Compliance at Oxford Brookes University from October 2020 to November 2022, and served as the Director of Health & Safety at the University of Hull from April 2017 to January 2020, initially in an interim capacity. Grainger's earlier experience includes being the Health & Safety Manager at the City of York Council (October 2008 - June 2014) and an HM Inspector of Health & Safety with the Health and Safety Executive from October 2001 to October 2008. Education includes study at Heriot-Watt University from 2002 to 2003 and a degree from Sheffield Hallam University from 1992 to 1995.
