Mark Batt is a highly experienced Consultant in Sport & Exercise Medicine, currently serving at The Nottingham Spire Hospital since June 2017 and as an Honorary Professor at the University of Nottingham since June 2004. Batt has an extensive background in sports medicine, having worked as a Sports Physician at Wimbledon - The All England Lawn Tennis Club until July 2021 and as a Consultant at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust from June 1995 to June 2020. Batt also directed the Centre for Sport, Exercise and Osteoarthritis, focusing on research to enhance understanding of the relationship between physical activity, sport, injury, and osteoarthritis from January 2013 to May 2020. Additionally, Batt served as Past President of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK from October 2009 to October 2012. Educational credentials include a DM from the University of Nottingham and a Sports Medicine Fellowship from the University of California, Davis, as well as a Diploma in Sports Medicine from the University of London and a BSc and MB BChir in Medicine from St Andrews and Cambridge Universities.
