Miriam O'Duill

Associate Professor Of Chemistry at University of Nottingham

Miriam O'Duill serves as an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Nottingham since July 2020, previously holding the title of Assistant Professor. In addition, Miriam is actively involved with the Society of Chemical Industry as a member of the Young Chemists' Panel, which facilitates collaboration between academia, industry, and the government. Previous experience includes a Lectureship in Organic Chemistry at the National University of Ireland, Galway, and a Visiting Researcher position at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research. Miriam was also a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Scripps Research Institute and completed a DPhil in Organic Chemistry at the University of Oxford, where groundbreaking research focused on novel fluorination methodologies for pharmaceutical applications was conducted. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and a Master of Chemistry, both from the University of Oxford.
