Associate Professor Of Creative Writing at University of Nottingham

Spencer Jordan is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in creative writing and education. Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Head of Drama and Creative Writing at the University of Nottingham since January 2015, Spencer has previously held positions including Assistant Professor in Creative Writing and Deputy Director for Drama and Creative Writing. Prior experience includes serving as Principal Lecturer in English and Creative Writing at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where responsibilities included overseeing learning, teaching and assessment strategies, as well as directing three MA programmes. Spencer was also a member of Jisc's Scaling Up Online Learning Working Group in late 2014 and chaired the Wales Book of the Year from June 2011 to July 2012. Earlier career roles involved lecturing in creative writing and contemporary media at UWIC from 2008 to 2012. Spencer’s educational background began at the City of Leicester School, attending from 1978 to 1985.
