Steven Charlton

Steven Charlton is an accomplished molecular pharmacologist with extensive experience in both academic and industrial settings. Currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer at OMass Therapeutics since February 2020 and as Professor of Molecular Pharmacology and Drug Discovery at The University of Nottingham since July 2014, Steven has significantly contributed to the advancement of pharmacological research. Previous roles include Chief Scientific Officer at Excellerate Bioscience Ltd and a progressive tenure at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, where leadership spanned multiple departments focused on respiratory diseases. Steven's early career involved key positions at SmithKline Beecham and Schering, contributing to innovative targets for diabetes treatment and drug metabolism studies. Steven holds a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology from the University of Leicester and a BS in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Surrey.
