Matt Davies

Matt Davies, CPA, CMA, CCISO, C.Dir., has extensive experience in governance, technology, and cybersecurity. Currently serving as a Board Member and Chair for Governance and Management Resources at Hydro Ottawa since 2018, as well as a Board Member and Chair of the IT Committee at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute since July 2023, Matt has been instrumental in shaping strategic decisions in these organizations. As Founder and President of Hedgelake Digital Inc. and Chief Technology Officer at Shared Services Canada since 2020, Matt focuses on digital transformation and secure IT infrastructure. Previous roles include Sr. Director of IT Risk Management and Cybersecurity at Ciena, where a global risk management program was developed, and leadership positions at Akara Corporation and Deloitte Consulting. Educational credentials include executive education at The Wharton School and The Tuck School of Business, as well as degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa.
