Emily Aalbers

Emily Aalbers, MA, PMP, serves as a part-time Professor at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, teaching courses in the Bachelor of Event, Sport, and Entertainment Management program since September 2024. Currently, Emily also holds the position of Director of the Annual Campaign and Manager of Faculty Development at the University of Ottawa, focusing on high-value fundraising and collaboration with faculty to establish fundraising strategies. Previously, Emily contributed to the University of Calgary as an Alumni Relations Specialist and Coordinator of Student and Young Alumni Programs, where advancements in alumni engagement initiatives were made. Early career experiences include roles at the Algonquin Student Association, Certified Management Accountants of Ontario, and VANOC, further enriching event management skills. Emily's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Communication, Media, and Film from the University of Calgary, as well as diplomas and certificates in Event Management and Project Management.
