Claire Shingler

Claire Shingler is an experienced professional in the biomedical science sector with a robust academic background. Currently serving as the Business Manager for BioEscalator at the University of Oxford since March 2008, Claire oversees operational, commercial, and financial management of incubator spaces for startups and spin-outs. Previously, Claire held roles as Operations Manager in the Department of Oncology, where responsibilities included administration, finance, research grant management, and clinical trials oversight. From 2003 to 2008, Claire was the Deputy Business Manager at the Nuffield Department of Medicine and prior to that served as Head of Strategic Intelligence at PharmaVentures. Claire began the career as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the University of Edinburgh after obtaining a PhD in Life Sciences from the University of Nottingham, an MPhil in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Birmingham, and a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of York.
