Liz O'Farrell is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in project and portfolio management. At the University of Oxford from July 2014 to September 2023, Liz served as IT Portfolio Manager, overseeing the Technology Portfolio encompassing Networks, Identity and Access Management, Cybersecurity, Communications, and Data Security. Prior roles included IT Programme Manager and IT Senior Project Manager, notably managing the upgrade of the University’s backbone network. Before joining the University of Oxford, Liz held various positions at Oxfordshire County Council from March 2009 to July 2014, including Principal IT Project Manager, where responsibilities included managing technical refreshes and application upgraded projects. Liz began a career in IT after earning a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Hull in 1998.
