Nita Alpin currently serves as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, a role commenced in November 2024. Previous experience includes positions as an International Student Ambassador at the University of Amsterdam, a Research Assistant at both the University of Oxford focusing on REM sleep behavior disorder neuropathology, and the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience analyzing the connection between hypothalamic changes and non-motor symptoms of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Additional research experience involves a systematic review on early-life stress and brain development at the Swammerdam Institute for Life Sciences, and a study on gestational exposure to infection and schizophrenia at the University Medical Centre Groningen. Nita Alpin holds a PhD in Clinical Neurosciences from the University of Oxford, a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Amsterdam, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the same institution, alongside a Finnish Matriculation Examination.
