Garima D. is a highly experienced researcher specializing in musculoskeletal diseases and regenerative medicine. Currently serving as a Senior Research Investigator at the University of Pennsylvania and as the Manager of the mRNA Core at the Penn Institute of RNA Innovation since January 2023, Garima has been involved in pioneering research to develop therapeutic agents aimed at preventing damage in human knee joints due to inflammation and injury. With a background that includes a postdoctoral associate position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University, Garima has contributed significantly to developing in vitro human musculoskeletal disease models. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Scientist at Reliance Life Sciences, where Garima developed an innovative autologous cell therapy for cartilage tissue engineering. Garima holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Université de Montréal and an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Banasthali Vidyapith.
