Geng-Yuan Chen is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania since August 2018, focusing on studying chromosome instability through optogenetics. Prior to this role, Geng-Yuan Chen completed a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at Penn State University from 2012 to 2018, where research centered on the link between nanoscale mechanochemical mechanisms, particularly in motor proteins and cytoskeleton, and their meso-scale physiological functions. Geng-Yuan Chen also worked as a Research Assistant at Academia Sinica from July 2011 to July 2012 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemical Science and Technology, along with a dual degree in Chemical Engineering, from National Taiwan University.
