Katherine Scangos, MD PhD, is currently serving as an Associate Professor CE at the University of Pennsylvania since August 2024. Prior to this role, Katherine was co-director of the TMS & Neuromodulation Program and held the position of Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco from July 2017 to June 2024. Katherine also worked as a Medical Director at Neumora from August 2021 to November 2023. Earlier in Katherine's career, experience included roles as a Psychiatry Resident and Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of California, Davis from September 2012 to June 2017. Katherine earned an MD and PhD in Systems Neuroscience from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine between 2003 and 2012, and completed a Bachelor's degree in Biology at Amherst College from 1998 to 2002.
