Linara Axanova has extensive experience in licensing and innovation within academic and research institutions. Currently serving as the Interim Director of Licensing at the Perelman School of Medicine, Penn Center for Innovation at the University of Pennsylvania since September 2014, Linara has held roles including Senior Associate Director and Associate Director within the same center. Prior to this, Linara was a Licensing Associate at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies from October 2011 to March 2014 and at Tufts University from October 2010 to November 2011. Linara began a career in academia as a Graduate Student at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center from August 2004 to October 2010 and gained early experience as an Intern at the Office of Technology Asset Management and as a Visiting Researcher at Purdue University. Linara holds a PhD in Cancer Biology from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and a Master of Science in Foods and Nutrition from Purdue University.
