William Gipson

Special Advisor To The Vice President For Social Equity And Community at University of Pennsylvania

William Gipson has a distinguished career in higher education and community service, currently serving in multiple roles at the University of Pennsylvania, including Special Advisor to the Vice President for Social Equity and Community and Faculty Director of the W.E.B. Du Bois College House. Previously, Gipson held the position of Associate Vice Provost for Equity and Access and served as the University Chaplain and Special Adviser to the President. Experience includes a tenure with the Children's Defense Fund as Co-chaplain-in-residence and a prior role as Associate Dean of Religious Life and of the Chapel at Princeton University. Gipson began their ministry as Assistant Pastor at Memorial AME Zion Church Inc. and holds a Master of Divinity in Theology from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School.
