Diane Carlisle PhD is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Neurological Surgery and Medicine, Pulmonary Division at the University of Pittsburgh, with a focus on utilizing induced pluripotent stem cells from neurological patients to identify drug targets for innovative therapies and collaborating on nanoparticle coatings for neural electrodes to mitigate brain inflammation. Diane has served as a Research Assistant Professor in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, and as a Research Associate in Pharmacology and Chemical Biology, where significant contributions to understanding tobacco-related lung diseases and nicotinic acetylcholine receptors were made. Additional roles include Scientific Consultant for therapeutics development in Huntington's Disease at Helexva and NeuBase Therapeutics, as well as Invited Professor at the Marine Biological Laboratory, where Diane teaches directed differentiation of pluripotent stem cells.
