Tim Corcoran

Tim Corcoran is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as Vice Chair of the Institutional Review Board and Director of Faculty Development in Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. As an Associate Professor of Medicine, Bioengineering, and Chemical Engineering, Dr. Corcoran focuses on aerosol drug delivery and aerosol-based nuclear imaging of the lung. Prior experience includes engineering roles at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, where contributions were made in redesigning hydraulic and mechanical systems for warships and maintaining nuclear propulsion plant conditions. Dr. Corcoran holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.
