Maria Poindexter

Maria Poindexter is an experienced educator and administrator with a strong background in instructional design and human resources. Currently serving as an adjunct associate professor at the University of Richmond since August 2004, Maria has also held prominent roles at J Sargeant Reynolds Community College, including Director of HR & OD and Coordinator for College-wide Professional Development. Maria has managed extensive professional development programs and strategies aimed at fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration in educational settings. With past experience as an adjunct faculty member and a doctoral assistant at Penn State University, along with significant positions in instructional design at both Penn State and Bell Atlantic, Maria combines expertise in adult learning and talent development. Maria earned a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Penn State University, complementing earlier degrees in instructional systems and marketing.
