Aldo Di Carlo is an accomplished researcher and educator with extensive experience in photonics and nanotechnology. Since September 2019, Aldo has served as the Director of the Institute for Structure of Matter at the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, while also holding the position of Full Professor of Opto&Nanoelectronics at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" since December 2012. Prior to these roles, Aldo was the Director of the Centre for Hybrid and Organic Solar Energy (CHOSE) from January 2007 to September 2019, where significant advancements in next-generation photovoltaics were made. Aldo's expertise further includes serving as the Chief Technical Officer at Dyepower from September 2009 to December 2015, overseeing the development of a PilotLine production system for photovoltaic glass based on Dye Sensitized Solar Cell technology. Aldo obtained a Doctorate in Physics from the Technical University of Munich and a degree in Physics from Sapienza Università di Roma.
