Shona Milazo

Shona Milazo is an accomplished higher education professional with extensive experience at the University of San Francisco since May 1998. Currently serving as the Associate Vice President/Dean of Student Academic Services and overseeing the Center for Academic and Student Achievement, Shona has held various leadership roles, including Interim Associate Vice Provost and Assistant Dean for Staff Development. Responsibilities include supervising Academic Success Coaches and implementing initiatives focused on student retention and timely graduation. With a strong commitment to holistic student development, the mission of CASA under Shona's guidance emphasizes compassionate academic and personal support. Shona's educational background includes a B.A. in World Literature & Cultural Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco, and a certification in Positive Psychology and Core Strengths Coaching from San Francisco State University.
