Delphine Boche

Delphine Boche is a Full Professor of Neuroimmunopathology at the University of Southampton, a position held since June 1999. Boche leads and collaborates on neuroscience research projects that delve into neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration, with a focus on understanding the interplay of neuroinflammation, ageing, neurological diseases, and systemic inflammation through human brain analysis and animal models. Prior roles include Associate Professor and Lecturer in Clinical Neurosciences. Boche has also been recognized as a Medical Research Council New Investigator and served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Boche holds a PhD and MPhil in Neurosciences from Pierre and Marie Curie University, completed in 1997 and 1993, respectively. Additionally, Boche has been a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since May 2010 and completed postdoctoral research at Institut Pasteur from January 1998 to June 1999.
