Anna van der Gaag

Anna van der Gaag is a distinguished professional in health regulation and ethics, currently serving as a Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey since May 2015, focusing on the regulatory experiences of health practitioners in rural areas. Additionally, Anna holds several leadership roles, including Senior Independent Director at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Chair of the Advisory Board for Safer Gambling at the Gambling Commission. Throughout a prolific career, Anna has contributed to various institutions, including research on artificial intelligence in health regulation at Royal Holloway, University of London, and serving as an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow. With a strong educational background, including a Ph.D. in speech and language therapy from the University of Strathclyde, Anna has also held positions on numerous boards and panels dedicated to health education and service evaluation.
