Charlie Geffen

Charlie Geffen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in advisory roles and leadership positions across various sectors. Presently serving as a Senior Adviser at Flint Global since November 2020 and as Chair of Council at the University of Surrey since February 2019, Geffen also holds the position of Chair for the UK Accelerated Settlement Taskforce at HM Treasury until February 2025. Previously, Geffen was the Deputy Chair at The Institute of Cancer Research from August 2014 to July 2023 and served as Chair at TISE - The International Stock Exchange from January 2020 to May 2022. Additional roles include Non-Executive Director at Kent and NED at Marathon Asset Management Limited. Geffen's legal expertise was further demonstrated as Chair of the Corporate Practice in London and Global Co-Chair of Private Equity at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP from November 2014 to June 2019, along with a long tenure as Senior Partner at Ashurst, where the focus was on private equity. Geffen holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Leicester, completed in 1981.
