Pedram Mardani currently serves as the Head of Laboratory for a Cancer Therapy Project at the University of Tehran since August 2021. Previously held the role of Project Manager for the KW Project focused on Recombinant Vector and also worked as an MSc Project Researcher in a Molecular Virology Laboratory, concentrating on coronavirus variants. Pedram has experience as a Virus Culture Laboratory Manager and as a Project Intern in molecular biology and cellular laboratory settings. Additionally, Pedram interned in the Molecular Virology Laboratory at Alavi and served as a teacher at Modarres Hospital while working as a Medical Laboratory Technician, heading the coagulation department and assisting as a QC Supervisor. Education includes a Master of Science in Infectious Disease from the University of Tehran and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from Islamic Azad University.

University of Tehran, the icon of higher education in Iran, was established in its traditional form seven centuries ago. It was initially founded as a Houza (traditional religious school). In the modern era, the University evolved from its religious structure to a more modern and academic structure of higher education. Dar-ol-Fonoon College was the first engineering school in its modern form which was established about a century ago. University of Tehran in its current form was inaugurated in the winter of 1934.
