Yvonne Chua

Yvonne Chua is an Associate Professor of Journalism at the University of the Philippines, where Chua has been instrumental in teaching a range of journalism courses from introductory to advanced levels, with a focus on investigative and data journalism, as well as ethics. As the co-founder of VERA Files, a nonprofit news organization dedicated to in-depth reporting and fact-checking, Chua has led initiatives such as the VERA Files Fact Check Project. In addition to academic roles, Chua has served as an editorial consultant for Tulay, a publication promoting integration of Chinese Filipinos, and has held multiple positions within the Commission on Higher Education's Technical Committees for Journalism.
