Tim Wess

Tim Wess is a distinguished academic leader with extensive experience in higher education management and governance. Currently serving as Principal Fellow at the Higher Education Academy and Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Tim has also recently joined Bendigo Community Bank Gympie as a director. Previous roles include Executive Dean at Charles Sturt University, Trustee at RNIB Cymru, and various advisory positions with national panels focused on gender equity in STEMM. Tim has held significant positions at Cardiff University, including Pro Vice-Chancellor and Head of School, and has advised governments in Lithuania and Slovenia on research facility governance. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The University of Edinburgh and a Grad Certificate in Wiradjuri language and nation building from Charles Sturt University.
