Farhood Farjah

Farhood Farjah currently serves as a Professor of Surgery and Associate Medical Director at the University of Washington, where tenure spans over a decade, starting in August 2012. In addition to multiple academic roles, Farhood is actively involved in professional organizations, including as Vice Chair of the Task Group on Triage for Appropriate Treatment at the American Cancer Society National Lung Cancer Roundtable and Co-Lead of the Thoracic Surgery Verification Program for the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and American College of Surgeons. Editorial contributions include board memberships for the Annals of Thoracic Surgery and CHEST. Farhood's prior experience includes residency training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital, with a foundation in general surgery at the University of Washington. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from Oregon Health & Science University, a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Washington School of Public Health, and a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Oregon.
