Mike Dishman

Mike Dishman serves as a Professor of Policy and Governance and Dean of the College of Education at the University of West Georgia since June 2022. Prior to this role, Mike held various positions at Kennesaw State University from June 2005 to May 2022, including Professor of Education Policy & Governance, Associate Vice Provost, and Dean of The Graduate College. Mike's legal experience spans several years, beginning as an Associate Attorney at Harben & Hartley, followed by partnership at McLocklin, Murphy, & Dishman, and advisory roles at Brock, Clay, Calhoun & Rogers, LLC. Academically, Mike holds a Doctor of Education in Leadership & Policy from Vanderbilt University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi, along with a Bachelor of Arts in American History & English from the same institution.
