Dennis Hansen

Dennis Hansen is a seasoned researcher and project leader based at the Natural History Museum, University of Zurich, since October 2016, focusing on the development of concepts and content for the institution. Alongside this role, Hansen has been leading a research group at the University of Zurich since February 2011, specializing in species interactions within insular systems, particularly concerning biodiversity, ecosystem functioning, and conservation strategies. Experience includes post-doctoral positions at Stanford University and the University of KwaZulu-Natal, as well as a research role at the Institute of Environmental Sciences. Hansen holds a PhD in Ecology from the University of Zurich and an MSc in Tropical Ecology from Aarhus University, enhancing a profound academic and research background in ecological studies.
