Tarkan Tan

Tarkan Tan is currently a Professor at the University of Zurich, a position held since September 2022. Prior to this, Tarkan served as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology from January 2003 to September 2022. Tarkan began an academic career as an Instructor at Atilim University from April 2001 to January 2003 and worked as a Quality Assurance Specialist and System Analyst at Tepe Technology from March 2000 to April 2001. Teaching Assistant roles were undertaken at both Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi/Middle East Technical University and Columbia Business School between 1996 and 2000. Tarkan earned a PhD and an MSc in Industrial Engineering from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi, completing these degrees in 2002 and 1996, respectively.
