Valeria Gagliardini Fankhauser

Valeria Gagliardini Fankhauser has extensive experience in the field of life sciences, currently serving as the Laboratory Manager at the University of Zurich since July 2000, overseeing the planning, logistics, and budget for over 20 projects while mentoring a diverse group of over 50 scientists. Previously, Valeria completed a PhD at ETH Zürich from 1996 to 1999 and worked as a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School from 1992 to 1996, where pioneering research on cell death (apoptosis) in mammalian systems contributed significantly to cancer research. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Natural Sciences from ETH Zürich and a Diploma in Biochemical Research obtained from Istituto di ricerche farmacologiche Mario Negri, with foundational studies undertaken at Liceo Scientifico.
