Lian Hillier is a seasoned HR professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Chief People Officer at Principles for Responsible Investment since November 2016, Lian has also held the position of Director of People & Culture at Nesta from January 2006 to November 2016, where responsibilities included overseeing human resources functions. Prior roles include Divisional HR Manager at St Georges Healthcare NHS Trust between 2003 and 2005. Lian's academic credentials include a PGDip in Human Resource Management from London Metropolitan University and a BA in Business Studies with a focus on Human Resources Management from The University of Huddersfield.

The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) is an investor initiative in partnership with UNEP FI and the UN Global Compact. Founded in 2006 and supported by the United Nations, the PRI has become the leading network for investors demonstrating their commitment to responsible ownership and long-term, sustainable returns. Pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign/development funds, investment managers and service providers make up the PRI network. Our goal is to grow investor interest in environmental, social and corporate governance issues (ESG), share best practice and support signatory needs in their fulfilment of the six PRI Principles.
