Denise Colon

Denise Colon serves as the Director of Operational Effectiveness in Benefit Services at Unum since June 2019, where responsibilities include aligning business opportunities with strategic goals, executing innovative changes, and establishing partnerships across the organization. Prior roles within Unum include Program Manager for Small Business Operations, where Denise managed the transition to a real-time benefits administration platform, and various managerial positions focused on team effectiveness and employee engagement. Earlier career experiences include serving as an Accountant at Student Bridges Agency, overseeing budget management, and leading initiatives for student programming. Denise holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Health and Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Certificate in Population Studies, and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Connecticut School of Business.
