Gabriel Li

Gabriel (Zhang) LI is a seasoned professional in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence, currently serving as a Staff Research Scientist at Meta AI since October 2023, focusing on generative models for monetization. In addition to this role, Gabriel has been a Venture Scout Manager at UpHonest Capital since May 2021, facilitating connections between founders and various stakeholders. Prior experience includes a position as Tech Lead in Machine Learning at Google from January 2020 to October 2023, where contributions were made to auto-bidding for search and shopping and the development of a generative solution for small and medium business marketing. Gabriel also held a Tech Lead/Applied Scientist role at Amazon from January 2016 to December 2019, leading the creation of advanced deep learning ranking models for search ads, and worked as a Machine Learning Scientist at NICTA from June 2014 to November 2015 on smart city transport analytics. Gabriel is pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University and holds a Master of Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning from UNSW.
