Atso Ruotsalainen is an experienced professional with a strong background in project management and engineering within the paper manufacturing industry. Currently serving as Director of the Technical Group at UPM Raflatac since February 1995, Atso oversees all major investment projects globally across EMEA, APAC, and the US. Previous roles include Project Director responsible for Greenfield Factory Investments and managing factory-scale projects across multiple countries. Prior experience includes leadership positions at Quattroll Oy, Tampella Papertech Oy, United Paper Mills Jylhävaara, and Rautaruukki Oy. Atso holds a BBA in International Business from Hame University of Applied Sciences and a BSc in Engineering from Wärtsilä Technical Institute, along with various management and leadership training completed between 2000 and 2013.
