Joonas Palonen

Joonas Palonen has accumulated diverse professional experience primarily in analytics, IT, and education. Currently serving as an Analyst in Decision Support and Analytics at UPM - The Biofore Company since June 2021, Joonas also completed a thesis at UPM Raflatac. Prior roles include a Summer Trainee position at UPM, where machine learning was leveraged for a proof of concept project, and a Programming Teacher at Kodarit, focusing on teaching programming to children. Joonas holds a degree in Information Technology from Tampere University, where studies were undertaken from August 2018 to May 2023. Additional experience includes multiple summer positions as a Kitchen Assembler/Junior Carpenter with Remholz and as a 3D Printer Assembler at Prenta Oy Finland while in high school.
