Aalok Shanbhag

Aalok Shanbhag is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data science and machine learning. Currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Upstart since December 2022, Aalok previously held the position of Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Snap Inc. from July 2021 to November 2022 and was a Senior Data Scientist at Fiddler between March 2019 and July 2021. Aalok began an academic career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology in early 2018. In earlier roles, Aalok contributed as a Business Analyst-II at FreeCharge, focusing on payment analytics, and as a Business Analyst at Snapdeal, enhancing product performance and user experience through analytics. Aalok holds a Master of Science in Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an Integrated M.Tech in Geophysical Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
