Krishna White, MD, MPH is an attending physician in the Craig-Dalsimer Division of Adolescent Medicine at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She is board certified in Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, and Addiction Medicine. She has interests in reproductive health including provision of long-acting reversible contraceptive (LARC) methods and substance abuse. Dr. White is a Certified Nexplanon Trainer and an Upstream USA Clinical Trainer and has trained many primary care, reproductive health providers, and residents to insert and remove LARC methods. She leads the Adolescent Medicine Division’s LARC program, Substance Abuse Services, and Telehealth Services.

Upstream USA works to expand opportunity by reducing unplanned pregnancy across the U.S. They work in partnership with health centers to strengthen reproductive care and autonomy by increasing equitable access to the full range of contraceptive options. Founded in 2014, Upstream is on track to achieve nationwide impact at scale. Their goal through 2024 is to partner with health centers that serve over 1 million women across four states.
