Bryan Austin has over 10 years of experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Bryan worked at Urban Development Corporation from 2009, where they held the position of Director, Geographic Information Systems. In this role, Bryan was responsible for providing planning and direction for GIS growth to support the corporation's strategic objectives. Their duties included developing and implementing an enterprise GIS strategic plan, promoting the relevance of GIS technology, managing geospatial data quality, and administering service level agreements with clients. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Spatial Planning from the University of Technology (UTech), Jamaica from 1992 to 1998. Bryan also attended Munro College for high school from 1982 to 1987.

In addition to their formal education, Bryan has obtained various certifications throughout their career. Bryan received a certificate in Leading with Vision from LinkedIn in October 2021 and completed a course in Change Leadership from LinkedIn in December 2020. Bryan also completed a course titled "The Five Most Important Questions You Will Ever Ask About Your Organization (Blinkist Summary)" from LinkedIn in November 2020. Furthermore, they hold a Certificate in Applied Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute, obtained in July 2013. Bryan acquired a certificate in GIS Program Management from URISA_International in 2009.
