Marquita Stephens is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in strategic engagement, community development, and nonprofit management. Currently serving as the Interim CEO and President of Urban League Twin Cities since January 2017, Marquita has held various leadership positions within the organization, including Vice President of Strategic Engagement and Director of Education Policy and Programming. Prior to their tenure at Urban League Twin Cities, Marquita worked at Roseville Area Schools, focusing on community engagement and program development. With a rich background as President and CEO of the African American Adoption Agency, Marquita provided executive leadership to a $900,000 nonprofit. Earlier roles include Director of Financial Resource Development at Heart of America United Way, where Marquita was instrumental in raising significant funds, and Associate II at United Way of Allegheny County. Marquita holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Case Western Reserve University, along with a certification from the Coaches Training Institute.
