James Courtney-Prior has a strong background in graphic design, with experience spanning over 13 years. James started their career as a Graphic Designer at API Leisure & Lifestyle in 2008, where they worked for two years. James then moved to Urbis in 2010, initially as a Graphic Designer and eventually progressing to Senior Graphic Designer. In this role, they managed projects from briefing to delivery and played a key role in the company's re-branding in 2016. James then became the Lead Graphic Designer for NSW, where they coordinated the delivery of creative projects and collaborated with project teams to innovate new production methods. Currently, James is serving as the Head of Creative at Urbis, leading and inspiring a national team of designers, driving work-winning and business development efforts, and delivering creative solutions for clients.
James Courtney-Prior obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Design and Visual Communications, General from Western Sydney University between 2006 and 2009. James also received additional certifications in Video Interview Production Techniques, Self Awareness, Authenticity, and Leadership, and Design Thinking through LinkedIn in 2021, 2018, and 2018 respectively.
