Elio Gerges has been a Software Engineer at Urjanet since 2021. Prior to this, they were a Full Stack Development Intern at Norfolk Southern Corporation from 2019 to 2021. During this time, they redeveloped a legacy web application for the Norfolk datacenters with the purpose of monitoring hardware and servers. Elio used PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to rebuild the datacenter inventory application, and rewrote MySQL queries to improve efficiency for searching, editing, adding and deleting hardware and servers from the database.
Elio Gerges attended Georgia Institute of Technology from 2018 to 2020, where they obtained a degree in Computer Science with a focus on Intelligence/Information Internetwork. Prior to that, they attended Georgia Gwinnett College from 2015 to 2017, where they obtained a degree in Information Technology with a focus on Software Development. Elio also obtained a certification in Microsoft Networking Fundamentals from Microsoft in November 2017.
