Lisa Monkus is an experienced education professional with a robust background in teaching and program management. Currently serving as Program Manager and previously as Program Coordinator at the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants since August 2022, Lisa has held various teaching positions, including Second Grade Classroom Teacher and Second Grade Homeroom Teacher at Pechersk School International and Silicon Valley International School, respectively. Additional experience includes roles as an English as a Second Language Teacher and Reading Specialist in several educational institutions. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Colorado Denver and a Teacher in Residence degree in Elementary Education from Metro State University.
