Shilpi Jha

Shilpi Jha is a Senior Commercial Specialist and IP Policy Advisor for South Asia at the USPTO, with extensive experience in intellectual property (IP) law and policy. Since June 2014, Shilpi has advised, monitored, analyzed, and reported on IPR matters, leading the USPTO Delhi team on policy and program initiatives. Previously, Shilpi served as Officer-in-Charge at the USPTO Office of South Asia, focusing on IP issues for India and neighboring countries. Prior to joining the USPTO, Shilpi worked as Deputy Director at the Confederation of Indian Industry, handling IPR-related issues and coordinating national committees on IPR. Shilpi also held associate positions in notable law firms, where responsibilities included drafting legal documents and appearing in various legal forums. Educational qualifications include an LLB from Delhi University, a diploma in Intellectual Property Rights from the Indian Law Institute, and a certificate in Law, Policy & Regulations from LSE.
