Jan Maitland is a seasoned film editor with extensive experience in the digital media industry. Since December 2009, Jan has served as a Film Editor and Partner at Utopic, a company that integrates production and post-production with digital media and marketing strategies. Prior to Utopic, Jan worked as a Film Editor at Optimus from 2002 to February 2010, and held a similar role at Edit Sweet from 1996 to 2002. Jan also contributed to Optimus as a Film Editor and Assistant Editor from 1990 to 1995, and began a career in film element storage at Mediatech between 1988 and 1990. Jan's educational background includes studies at Columbia College Chicago from 1987 to 1990, and earlier at the University of Illinois Chicago from 1985 to 1987.
