Carlos Rios

Carlos A. Rios serves as the Senior Director of Educational Affairs at the School of Medicine, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, since August 2010. In this role, Rios formulates and aligns strategic missions to enhance faculty support for the undergraduate medical education curriculum, while also managing personnel accountabilities and promoting talent development. Prior to this position, Rios held various roles, including Director of College Access/Special Programs, Associate Director of International Admissions and Student Services, Admissions Supervisor for the Office of Graduate Studies, and Coordinator of the Graduate Resource Center. Rios has a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Inter-American Studies from the University of Texas-Pan American, along with a certificate in People Analytics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business Online.
